About Us

Urban Family Ministries is a faith-based nonprofit organization serving the Memphis, TN community and surrounding areas. We specialize in substance abuse and are dedicated to supporting adults and adolescents living with substance use challenges, mental health conditions, and co-occurring disorders.

Our Approach is rooted in the belief that every person deserves compassionate care and the opportunity to heal in a supportive and respectful environment. Through a range of recovery-focused services, we aim to improve every aspect of life, while honoring each individual’s dignity and their story.

With a strong sense of community and an inclusive approach, we strive to empower individuals from all backgrounds to overcome obstacles, restore hope, and build a healthier future.

Our Services

  • Alcohol and drug recovery support through intensive outpatient treatment, case management and relapse prevention for Adults.

  • Our Adolescent IBM program (Intervention Behavioral Modification), is a comprehensive and practical approach to supporting adolescents between (13-18 years old) with:

    • Mental & substance use disorders

    • Anger management and behavioral interventions

    • Anxiety disorders: (panic attacks, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety, phobias, etc.)

    • Post-traumatic stress disorder

  • Our after-care programs are subsequent to our outpatient programs.

    These programs are recovery skill-building based, and is facilitated for (1) one hour, (3) three days a week.

  • Reliable and confidential drug screening services through our programs for individuals and court-ordered requirements. Our screenings support recovery, accountability, and compliance through accurate testing in a safe, professional environment.

    We also provide random drug screening services for employment, court-orders and other compliance needs.

  • Our Re-entry services are designed specifically to help individuals successfully transition back into the community, after being incarcerated or involved with the criminal justice system. These services aim to reduce recidivism (the tendency to re-offend) and promote long-term reintegration.

  • Our community food pantry hours are:

    WEDNESDAYS

    11:30AM- 2:00PM

    4:00P- 6:00PM

    THURSDAYS

    11:30AM- 2:00PM
